2025 MALDIVES BOAT TRIP

31st July - 9th August 2025

9 Nights

After an overwhelming response to the 2024 trip, I am excited to announce that I have secured dates for 2025.

This trip welcomes both men and women who are lower to higher intermediate surfers, capable of paddling into their own waves and surfing in both directions. The trip will include:

  • Surf Apnea Breath Control: Theory and practical sessions both in the water and on dry land

  • Recovery Breath Sessions

  • Stretch and Release Sessions

  • Surf Coaching with video analysis

As with any surf trip, conditions are determined by mother nature. However, being on a boat gives us the flexibility to seek out the best waves. Our destination is the Northern Atolls, known for surf breaks such as Tombstones, Jails, Honkies, Sultan, Ninjas, Cokes, and Chickens (five rights, two lefts).

We plan to organise two separate surf groups each morning where you will be filmed by Hannah Jessup, photographer and founder of the Surf Witches. The footage will be analyzed later in the day to provide you with feedback for your next session. Sal will be in the water with you to ensure your comfort and safety.

Feel free to bring boards of any size, but please check with your airline regarding the costs of transporting larger boards.

ACTIVITIES

Sal will run daily breathing and stretching sessions to ensure your body is in prime condition to catch as many waves as possible.

These sessions will include information on managing your breathing and breath holds while surfing, as well as covering the functions of breathing.

The afternoons are free for you to surf, surf, surf!

Alternatively, you can relax on the boat or take one of the smaller boats to visit nearby islands.

Two main islands are available to visit at no cost. They offer sunbathing beaches with free sunbeds, small restaurants, masseuses, and opportunities to swim, snorkel, scuba dive, or rent a jet ski.

For more information about the islands:

Another option is the Club Med Resort, where you can purchase a day pass (booked a day in advance). This pass grants you access to the swimming pool, food, and alcohol.

The big boat is equipped with two smaller boats to transport you to surf spots and other activities. One is a medium-sized covered boat, and the other is a small open-air boat.

PLEASE NOTE: Any paid activities on the islands are at your own cost and are not included in the trip price.

While staying on the boat, you will be in a shared twin cabin with an ensuite toilet and shower.

All cabins and the living/dining area are air-conditioned, providing a comfortable environment. You will be served three meals a day, along with fruits, snacks, coffee, tea, and mineral water. Alcohol and soft drinks are available for purchase at an additional cost.

The photos on this page represent the standard of the boat we will be using. As this trip is in 2025, the final selection of the boat has not yet been made.

Details will be added as soon as more information is available.
